The anvil is the female die in the rotary die-cutting system. Covered with a layer of premium polyurethane, the surface offers a mating area for an infinite variety of serrated cutting knife patterns. The resilient material enables the anvil to present an apparently fresh surface to the knife even after repeated cuts in the same area.
